How do you get to this Youth Hostel:
From M6 J36 take A590 toward Barrow in Furness. At Newby Bridge go straight on at roundabout then take next right following signs to Lakeside and Hawkshead. From Hawkshead village turn right out of village following signs to Newby Bridge. YHA Hawkshead is 1 mile out of village.

Bus information:
Cross Lakes Shuttle (seasonal) passes the door. Stagecaoch in Cumbria 505/6 from Ambleside alight Hawkshead 1 mile. Connections from Windermere station.

Train information:
Windermere rail station 7 miles by ferry. 9 miles by road
